LIN Consulting provided lighting designs for the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot in the City of Ontario. LIN Consulting was tasked with creating a new parking lot lighting system that matched the surrounding lighting scheme and the approved downtown master plan. LIN Consulting prepared lighting calculation, voltage drop, sizing conduit, wiring and panel schedule as part of the project. Included in the scope of work was the preparation of the engineer’s cost estimate, specifications and plan processing. LIN Consulting also coordinated with and requested new electrical service from SCE.

Lakewood Boulevard Lighting Improvements

Lakewood Boulevard Lighting Improvements, Downey

The Lakewood Blvd. Improvements Phase 3A project aimed to widen the street, effect median and parkway improvements, install pedestrian and ornamental street lights, reconstruct street pavement, and implement other miscellaneous concrete improvements. LIN Consulting was responsible for designing and preparing roadway and pedestrian lighting plans for Lakewood Boulevard from Fifth Street/Cecilia Street to Florence Avenue. The plans were designed according to the City’s lighting standards. Deliverables included roadway lighting designs, wiring diagrams and details, and engineering estimates.

Heritage Park

LIN Consulting was a subconsultant for the Heritage Park project in the City of Irvine. LIN Consulting’s tasks include electrical power design for a water pump feature, in addition to grading, retaining wall, and drainage design for the proposed improvements at Heritage Park. The completed designs depicted grading and drainage layouts for the proposed improvements at the park ball fields, as well as corresponding walkways and ADA access.

Copper Hill Park

LIN Consulting was responsible for providing civil and electrical services pertaining to the Copper Hill Park Improvements Project in the City of Santa Clarita. The firm was responsible for electrical lighting, grading, and drainage designs for the project site. The grading and drainage designs encompassed improvements at the park, parking lot designs, low-impact development (LID) compliance, and the inclusion of ADA access. Specific tasks included gravity utilities, hydrology studies, storm drain designs, and electrical and lighting designs for the parking lot and future restroom and gazebo. In producing these designs, firm engineers researched existing record drawings and performed field checks, assisted in schematic design development and lighting fixture selection, and coordinated with power companies to acquire new service connections for the project’s lighting improvements.

Los Angeles County Parks Splash Pads

LIN Consulting is responsible for providing electrical design services for the proposed splash pads at San Angelo Park, City Terrace Park, and Atlantic Avenue County Park for the County of Los Angeles. The electrical design component of the project will provide power to the pump shelter per the pump designer’s specifications. LIN Consulting is also responsible for the replacement and upgrade of the existing service switchboard at San Angelo Park.

Metro Expresslanes

This project was a large-scale undertaking that aimed to alleviate traffic congestion on the pertinent freeways. It involved designing, building, operating, and maintaining ExpressLanes on Interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway/ El Monte Busway) and Interstate 110 (Harbor Transitway). LIN Consulting, a sub-consultant on the project, is assisting the prime firm in converting existing HOV lanes to toll ExpressLanes, improving roadway infrastructure, and enhancing transit services and facilities. Specific tasks include: preparing roadway lighting, electrical, and power drop plans; designing fiber optic plans within the Caltrans right-of-way for the toll system; and handling the design of a Ramp Metering System (RMS). LIN Consulting is also charged with preparing traffic signals, temporary traffic signals, street lighting, signing/striping, and worksite traffic control plans for the Cities of Los Angeles, El Monte, Hawthorne, and San Gabriel.

LIN Consulting, Inc. provided project traffic engineering services for the Mid-City/ Exposition Light Rail Design/Build Project, a nine-mile-long light rail line connecting eight stations in the City of Los Angeles. The project area ran along the existing railroad right-of-way within Exposition Blvd., connecting the existing Blue Line station in Downtown Los Angeles and the new Washington/Venice Station in the City of Culver City. LIN Consulting designed traffic signals and roadway lighting for various segments along the LRT alignment and prepared over 60 sheets of street lighting design and over 30 sheets of traffic signal design plans. The firm also handled the design of temporary roadway lighting and temporary traffic signal plans at a number of locations; in addition to the design of an LRT priority system, including the installation of predictor cabinets, LRT system detection loops, and communications infrastructure.
