East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit

The purpose of the ESFV Project (Project) is to provide high-capacity transit service in the San Fernando Valley. The Project consists of the southern segment (phase 1 initial operating segment) of the East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit system between the G-Line Bus Rapid Transit Station (G Line) Van Nuys Boulevard station and the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard/San Fernando Road. The 6.7-mile southern segment is street running and is located wholly between the north/south directional alignment of Van Nuys Boulevard. This segment includes 11 stations, nine traction power substations (TPSS), and a maintenance and storage facility (MSF).

As part of the Phase 1 work of the Project, LCI was involved with validation, value engineering studies, and opinion of probable cost support. LCI staff is also tasked with conducting field review and preparing supporting documents of existing field conditions within the Project limits.

For Phase 2 work of the Project, LCI is tasked with preparation of Signing and Striping and Traffic Signal Design Plans for Segment C of the Project.
