Camino Del Sur Widening Project, San Diego, CA

The project widened Camino Del Sur in the City of San Diego to six lanes with medians. The addition of one lane in each direction required traffic signal modifications to five intersections from SR-56 to Carmel Valley Road to accommodate the traffic operations. A signing and striping plan was prepared to accommodate the new traffic patterns. Traffic control plans were prepared to construct the medians within the project limits. An Encroachment Permit application with Caltrans District 11was filed for the modification of the traffic signal at SR-56 and the westbound on/off ramp intersection.
